On 28 June 1995 Lord Justice Swinton Thomas and Lord Justice Nourse in the Civil Appeals Court ordered Francis Reeson t/a Eking Manning solicitors to pay J.K.Browne litigant in person £3,452.02, the reason for this was Reeson's contempt of Court. Reeson refused to obey the order so Mr Browne was obliged to seek a warrant from a District Judge in Sheffield. It was refused.
Mr Browne then tried to get the CAC to enforce their own order and this was set down for 23 rd February ' 96. However by this time Francis Reeson was made a district judge and he feigned ignorance of the case and had it adjourned. Mr Browne's request for the hearing to be reset by letter, telephone and visits for over 12 months was ignored by the CAC. Mr Browne then resorted to the small claims court after all, Mr Browne had an order for the highest court in the land how could it fail. This application was initially struck out by D J Oliver.
When Mr Browne challenged this decision he rescinded his order and transferred the matter to Sheffield before D J Bower who took 60 days for his decision to support D J Reeson who together with His Honour Judge Bentley who struck it out and Her Honour Judge Shipley who took 24 hours for decision in favour of Reeson.
In effect 3 District Judges and 2 Circuit Judges rejected the Appeal Court Order and dismantled it and found in favour of D J Reeson. Mr Browne then again requested a hearing in the Appeals Court where after 15 months Lord Justice Potter, Lord Justices Tuckey and Mr Justice Hart found in Mr Browne's favour and ordered DJ Reeson to pay the £3,452.02 plus interest forthwith and awarded Mr Browne costs. The £3,452.02 was paid forthwith and Reeson managed to stall the payment of £7,000 in costs for over a year.
We are all aware that Judges are a law unto themselves and as such any person who crosses them will live to regret it. So much for everybody's right to be equal before the law. Mr Browne states, my human rights clearly indicate that I have a right to a fair and unbiased trial instead of which I am a victim of a judicial conspiracy.
